The Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund took place on Sunday, November 12, 2023. The race featured live tracking of all participants, social media integration, interactive course maps, and selfies. Results tracking and leaderboards were also available on the BAA website.
The race started at 8:00 AM at the Boston Common and finished at the Prudential Center. The course was a flat and fast out-and-back route along the Charles River Esplanade. The weather was ideal for running, with temperatures in the low 50s and no wind.
A total of 10,000 runners participated in the race. The winner of the men's race was John Doe, who finished in a time of 1:05:00. The winner of the women's race was Jane Doe, who finished in a time of 1:10:00.
The Half Marathon presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund is a major fundraising event for the two organizations. In 2023, the race raised over $1 million for cancer research and care.
