From Minneapolis to Rio

WEB Dakotah Marie Lindwurm, born May 1, 1995, is an American professional long-distance runner who has qualified to represent the United States in the upcoming Rio Olympics.

Lindwurm's journey to the Olympics began in Minneapolis, where she grew up and attended high school. She was a standout track and cross-country runner, and she went on to compete for the University of Minnesota. After graduating from college, Lindwurm turned professional and began training full-time for the Olympics.

Lindwurm's breakout moment came in 2016, when she finished third in the women's marathon at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Her time of 2:29:02 was good enough to qualify her for the Olympics, and she will be one of three American women competing in the marathon in Rio.
